You see, as a pastor and a social observer, I am always unsatisfied when I find out that the divorced and remarried Christians in our local church face at all times all types of rejection, isolation, and humiliation just because of their different matrimonial statuses, as if these people are also rejected by God. Thus, to answer this question, I must also explore briefly: What is marriage? Why do people marry? What is divorce? Why do people divorce? And at last, should divorced Christians remarry? Exploring some biblical views and looking at different approaches and experiences would probably help me answer this pertinent social issue.

Today we are living in a world where people are under pressure and fear of social, moral, political, financial and religious tensions. We all face these challenges every day, whether we believe in God or not, whatever our nationality, race, color, degree of our intellectuality, rich or poor, with spirituality or not. They are humans’ social challenges. However, there is a real challenge or issue we all face and share since the origin of time, which is marriage, divorce, and remarriage. Although we are humans, this issue pertains to many of us because when you are Christian, you believe that love should be the center pillar of marriage, meaning sacrificing your life for the other; however, there are a lot more questions about divorce and remarriage, but should divorced Christians remarry?
